Nicole Oglesby is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she received a BA in English and Theatre & Dance with a playwriting focus. Nicole’s plays have been produced in UT’s Lab Theatre, the Cohen New Works Festival, and several seasons of UT’s Bridge Festival. Nicole seeks to access rich emotional insights about hero journeys which often incorporate poetic language and mythic qualities to create theatre that is simultaneously playful and extremely cathartic. She writes about the emotional and physical journeys of women because they have often been de-legitimized or silenced altogether and generates experiences that awaken, inspire, and heal.
Marian Kansas is also a recent graduate of The University of Texas at Austin where she studied Theatre & Dance with a focus in directing and Advertising. During her time at The University of Texas at Austin she led and directed for a student theatre company, Round About Players, and served as an actor, dramaturg, and assistant director for various main-stage productions. Marian’s work was recognized at the College of Fine Arts Commencement ceremony in May where she was named the Spotlight Student for the Theatre & Dance Department, and was praised for her work onstage and in the classroom. Marian seeks to continue creating inherently theatrical, smart and accessible plays that features substantial and complex female characters, and explore the lives and struggles of the mentally disabled onstage.
